Micro-Academies

Deep Dives into Core Components of Leadership

Our Micro-Academies focus intensively on specific aspects of executive and educational leadership—deep dives on single components of leadership skills and knowledge that typically comprise 3–4 full- or half-day sessions throughout the school year.

Each program involves school leaders from a variety of sectors and incorporates application-based professional development and individualized coaching sessions with a Leadership Coach.

Participants include principals, assistant principals, deans of curriculum and instruction, and other school leaders from Massachusetts’ district, charter, Catholic, and independent schools. Participants can receive Professional Development Points (PDPs) towards licensure renewal at no cost through Boston College.

Micro-Academies also serve as a pipeline for participation in our flagship Fellowship program, which empowers school leaders to improve outcomes in under-resourced communities.
