About

School Leaders Increasing Opportunities & Disrupting Inequity

Lynch Leadership Academy’s mission is to develop a powerful and sustainable network of highly effective leaders at schools, within systems, and in communities, who will disrupt inequity and dramatically increase the opportunities and outcomes for all students.

Lynch Leadership Academy is a collaborative, cross-sector community of principals and school leaders from Greater Boston and gateway cities across Massachusetts. These school leaders range from early- to mid-career veteran principals and work in under-resourced communities—where executive leadership skills and educational excellence make the most difference.

LLA supports sitting principals and aspiring principals from district, charter, Catholic, and independent schools in acquiring educational and executive leadership skills and in building a network that confronts urgent issues facing urban education.

Mission & Theory of Change

Mission

We develop a powerful and sustainable network of highly effective leaders at schools, within systems, and in communities who disrupt inequity and dramatically increase the opportunities and outcomes for all students.

Theory of Change

The Lynch Leadership Academy increases the number of high-performing leaders within a region and helps mobilize a critical mass to improve their schools, systems, and communities. Building the capacity of principals and helping them assert their leadership–individually and collectively–enables principals to improve student outcomes. On-site support and a strong network increase the sustainability of the principalship.

Lynch Leadership Academy empowered me to use data to create standards-driven action plans. It also helped me work more intentionally with my Instructional Leadership Team to plan and facilitate professional development that met the needs of our teachers, resulting in an increase in growth and in proficiency in our reading scores.
