About Us

 The Lancet Countdown on Health and Plastics is a collaborative effort of leading experts and researchers representing over 40 universities and research institutions around the world. By bringing together resourced, rigorous research and analysis, we can amplify the impact of many independent researchers through a cohesive, credible report.

The Countdown is co-led by Dr. Philip Landrigan, Director of the Director of the Global Observatory on Planetary Health at Boston College, and Dr. Joacim Rocklöv, Director of the Heidelberg Planetary Health Hub at Heidelberg University. The Countdown is governed by a Steering Committee and Working Groups, many of whom are members of the Scientists Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty.
