In the Office of the Dean of Students, our primary goal is to ensure all students feel safe and supported during their time at Boston College. We encourage students to reach out to us if they, or one of their peers, encounter any situation that makes them feel otherwise. We are here to help.

If you are in immediate danger, do not utilize this report form. Immediately contact Boston College Police Department at 617-552-4444 or call 911. The submission of false reports is a violation of the Code of Student Conduct and will be investigated accordingly.

Report an Alleged Violation of the Code of Conduct

The Office of the Dean of Students reserves the right to not proceed with complaints not submitted within a reasonable time frame including, but not limited to instances in which material witnesses are no longer in attendance at the University.

Bias-Related Incident Protocol

Boston College students may report any suspected violations of the University's "bias-motivated conduct" policy that involves other students by calling us at 617-552-3470, by emailing studentconduct@bc.edu or by filling a report.

If the alleged "bias-motivated conduct" involves a faculty or staff member, please go to the Office of Institutional Diversity's website to learn more about the Bias-Related Incident Protocol.

Student of Concern Reporting

Are you concerned about the well-being of a student, peer, or yourself? The Student Support team in DOS is happy to consult with you about how to support a student and will meet directly with students who are having difficulties or aren't sure where to go for support. Please see our Student of Concern Reporting form and browse our Student of Concern webpage for further information.

Campus Accessibility Reporting

We are committed to ensuring and improving physical and technological access on campus. If you notice or run up against a barrier that restricts access to BC programs, services, activities, or facilities, please report it via our reporting form. You can find more information on our Disability Services page.

Student disciplinary records remain on file in the Office of the Dean of Students for seven years after a student graduates. See the University’s record keeping policy for information on what will be reported. You can view the policy online at the University Policies page.

Please allow 5-10 business days for processing. Submitting this information authorizes the Office of the Dean of Students to release all information requested, as stated in University guidelines.

Please submit a new form for each separate request.

Students may submit an appeal of a decision reached in a conduct matter brought under the Student Code of Conduct, whether the decision was the result of an administrative hearing, a hearing board, or any other conduct proceeding administered under the auspices of Student Affairs.  If accepted, an appeal will result in an administrative review of the decision; only in rare circumstances will an appeal result in a new hearing or other new adjudication of the case.

Please review the BC Student Guide for full details on the appeals process.

You must log in with your Boston College credentials to submit this form.

Students may authorize the release of personal information and educational records to individuals and/or agencies of their choice by submitting a form of acknowledgment releasing their information.
