Salvatore Cipriano, Ph.D.

Assistant Director, Career Education

Salvatore (Sal) oversees the Government, Law, and Public Policy career cluster at the Career Center and serves as Boston College’s pre-law advisor. He works with students and alumni interested in careers in law, federal, state, and local government, policy and advocacy, international affairs, defense, and law enforcement. Before joining the Career Center, Sal worked as an adjunct history professor at several colleges in New York and Massachusetts. Sal graduated with his B.A. and M.A. in history from Boston College before completing his Ph.D. in European history from Fordham University. Beyond work, Sal is an avid New York Yankees and BC Eagles fan and enjoys running, reading, visiting old libraries and bookshops, and listening to punk and alternative music.

Fun Fact:
Sal is a historian by training and continues to research and write about the history of universities, especially in the British Isles and colonial New England.
