The Office of the General Counsel advises the University on a wide range of legal matters across all areas of the University. Our practice areas include legal and regulatory compliance, contracts and transactions, litigation and disputes, corporate governance, health and safety, faculty and student affairs, labor and employment, intercollegiate athletics, real estate and construction, international operations, research activities, intellectual property, data privacy, and gifts and taxation.
The OGC oversees the University's Compliance program and assists on University policy matters. The OGC is also soley responsible for engaging outside counsel on behalf of the University.
