Mathers Foundation helps advance research into Celiac Disease

The G. Harold and Leila Y. Mathers Foundation has awarded Professor Emrah Altindis from the Biology Department a three-year $300,000 grant to research childhood celiac disease. This is the second award from the Mathers Foundation to Altindis and will support his lab which recently completed the first longitudinal human gut microbiome and metabolome study.
