Senior administrators at Boston College issued the following statement on Monday, October 16, 2017. It was emailed to all students.

Several incidents of racist behavior, including vandalism in a residence hall and a disturbing social media post, occurred this weekend on the BC campus.

Boston College condemns all acts of hate and is committed to holding any student who violates our standards accountable.

Federal  privacy laws preclude our discussion of individual disciplinary matters, other than to say that a thorough investigation is ongoing.

Staff from the Bowman AHANA Intercultural Center, Office of the Dean of Students, and University Counseling Services are available to students for support and conversation.

We call upon all members of the BC community to treat each other with respect and to stand united against intolerance in any form.
