Álvaro is a PhD candidate in Humanities at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano. He studies how TV series distributed by subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platforms influence the way young audiences value and interact with the environment.
Born in Spain, he graduated summa cum laude in History from Universitat de Barcelona, where he also earned a Master's degree in cultural heritage management. He worked as an intern at the Faculty of History, and at the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence. Then, he earned a Master's degree in screenwriting and production at Università Cattolica di Milano, where he has taught since 2019. He works for the digital startup Boom Imagestudio.
