The Lazos Lab, led by Dr. Carolina Vélez-Grau at Boston College, is dedicated to advancing mental health equity and suicide prevention for adolescents, with a special focus on Hispanic adolescents in the United States.
Inspired by the Spanish word lazos, meaning “ties,” “connections,” or “relationships," our work centers on strengthening relational ties between adolescents, families, communities, institutions, and themselves.
