IFB Connector
The Connector serves as a multidisciplinary bridge, connecting students, faculty, and practitioners across Boston College’s schools and affiliated institutions who are dedicated to the study of migration. By facilitating the exchange of research on the child and family experience of migration, we foster new collaborations that drive real-world impact and inform evidence-based policy. A curated directory of Boston College faculty, researchers, and practitioners specializing in immigration. This resource provides direct access to professional profiles, research affiliations, and contact information to encourage interdisciplinary partnership and mentorship.
Our Network
Patrick Proctor
Professor
I am a professor and educational researcher focusing on bilingualism, bilingual education, language, and literacy. Theoretically, my work attempts to merge critical and developmental perspectives on language, literacy, and bilingualism in education. In terms of praxis, I work directly with teachers and administrators on issues of bilingual education and language-based literacy instruction, particularly in schools and districts characterized by student multilingualism.
Immigrant Connector
In its inaugural phase, the initiative will explore the development of a digital resource that highlights immigrant-related scholarship, centers, and institutes across Boston College, making it easier to see the landscape of work on immigrant-origin communities and to discover opportunities for engagement.
