We work to educate our Fore River Basin communities about the dangers of this facility and the dangers of fracked methane gas to our health and to our climate. We continue to use all means necessary to stop the operations of the compressor station, to monitor air quality and health in the Basin, and to work to restore our environment to its beautiful coastal magnificence.

Springfield Climate Justice Coalition

Since 2014 the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition has brought together organizations across the city of Springfield to take on the issues of climate change and environmental justice at the local level, out of a deep concern for the future of our environment and the health of our residents. Our diverse coalition of community, civic, public health and faith based groups is committed to helping create a city where all of our residents can breathe clean air as we move towards a just transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy.
We are currently focused on preventing Eversource from constructing a dangerous, highly polluting and unnecessary pipeline in Springfield, which would further compromise air quality in numerous environmental justice communities
