A Mass of Chrisian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 2, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Seekonk, Mass., for Patrick Gregorek, a senior in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences, who died suddenly at his home in Seekonk, on Sunday, March 24.

Visting hours will be held Monday, April 1, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, in East Providence, RI.

Mr. Gregorek majored in theology and economics, was active in the Liturgy Arts Group and the Sons of St. Patrick, and participated in several programs within Campus Ministry.

In a letter to the Boston College community on March 25, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Joy Moore said staff from Student Affairs, Residential Life, and University Mission and Ministry had reached out to Mr. Gregorek’s roommates, and were in the process of connecting with his friends on campus to offer their support. Moore noted that counseling is available through University Counseling Services, and support through Campus Ministry for all members of the University community.

“In the coming days, I ask you to look out for one another and to provide support as needed,” said Moore. “We are a loving, caring community, and I know we will be there to help each other through this loss.”

Condolences may be sent to his parents, John and Christine Gregorek, at 350 Brown Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.
