Boston College resumed regular COVID-19 testing for the spring semester on January 19, with University Health Services reporting a total of 28 positive cases through Sunday, January 24, including seven undergraduates, out of a total of 5,994 tests conducted.

As of today, there are eight BC undergraduates in isolation—four in University isolation housing and four recovering at home. A total of 439 undergraduates have recovered and returned to normal activities since August.

Between the first day of testing on August 16, and today, University Health Services has conducted 149,807 tests of BC community members with 551 positive cases reported. Among undergrads, UHS has conducted 104,729 tests with 447 positives. The University’s cumulative positivity rate is 0.36%.

By comparison, Boston University has reported 1,080 positive cases, Northeastern University 1,052, and University of Massachusetts-Amherst 746.

All BC students, faculty, and staff who plan to be on campus during the spring semester must be tested before classes resume.

Testing for the week of January 25 for undergraduates living on campus will take place:

Monday, January 25, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Tuesday, January 26, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Wednesday, January 27, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Testing for late-arriving undergraduates and any remaining faculty, staff, graduate/professional students will take place:

Thursday, January 28, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m

Friday, January 29, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, January 30, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday, January 31, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Targeted Asymptomatic Testing resumes on Monday, February 1, in the Connell Recreation Center MAC Court Testing Site:

Mondays - Thursdays 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
