Growing up in a small and developing suburb in North Carolina, I began learning about my bi-cultrual identity at an early age and wanted to also learn more about the cultural identities of those around me. My interest in wanting to learn more about cultures followed me into my academic and professional career. I completed my B.A in international studies and followed that by doing research in assessments and evaluations in International Education through nonprofits, research centers, and universities throughout the U.S and internationally.
Wanting to gain a better understanding of the field I was working in and all that it entails, I enrolled in the M.A program in International Higher Education through the Lynch School of Education. I have been able to hone in on my past experiences and grow my skill set by being a Summer Graduate Assitant at the Office of Global Engagement and a Graduate Assitant at the Career Center at Boston College.
When I am not sitting behind a computer or buried under books for work or classes, you can find me hiking on local trails, catching up on Netflix shows, and trying out new recipes!
