Sally Award Winner 2025

Alan Chang has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Paul J. Sally Jr. Award, presented annually to a graduating Mathematics major who has shown true distinction in a demanding program in Mathematics.

This award was endowed by Professor Sally, who graduated from Boston College in 1954, and received his Master’s degree in Mathematics from BC in 1956.  He went on to earn a Ph.D. at Brandeis, and joined the faculty in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Chicago, where he remained active until his death.
