Boston College is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all members of its community and is particularly attentive to the safety and well-being of minors who access University property or participate in University programs and activities, whether conducted on or off campus.
This Policy establishes mandatory guidelines and standards to safeguard minors while on Boston College premises and during University-sponsored activities off campus. It applies to all University-sponsored programs involving minors and to any programs for minors sponsored by non-University organizations operating within University-owned or controlled facilities.
The Protection of Minors Policy and its accompanying procedures govern the conduct of University students, faculty, staff, volunteers, contractors, and program partners to ensure the safety, protection, and well-being of minors while under the University’s supervision or care.
