The Center for the Study of Testing, Evaluation, and Educational Policy (CSTEEP) is an educational research organization located at Boston College in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. Since its inception in 1980, CSTEEP has conducted research on testing, evaluation, and public policy, studies to improve school assessment practices, and international comparative research.

From single schools to states and nations, we conduct research and evaluation studies that are rigorous, thorough and evidence-based.

We study, propose and support innovations in the organization of education systems, in educational practices and educator professional development.

On a broad range of education issues, we offer policy recommendations and advice that are authoritative, independent and balanced.

To advance public understanding of education and assessment, we reach out to multiple communities using a variety of communication channels.
