Honors and awards


Professor of Accounting Jeffrey R. Cohen and coauthors won two awards from the Gender Issues/Worklife Balance (GIWB) section of the American Accounting Association’s Annual Meeting: the GIWB 2014 KPMG Outstanding Published Manuscript Award and the GIWB 2014 KPMG Best Paper Award.


Thaly Germain, executive director of the Lynch Leadership Academy, was named a 2014 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow.


O’Connor Family Professor Michael G. Pratt was named an Academy of Management Fellow.


Associate Professor of Management and Organization Mary Tripsas won the award for the Organization and Management Theory Division’s Best Symposium Proposal for her paper “The interplay of visual cues, linguistic representations, and functional attributes in the shaping of new market categories” (with Sarah Kaplan) at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management.


Joseph L. Sweeney Chair of Accounting G. Peter Wilson won the Two-Year College Section 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Accounting Association’s Annual Meeting.
