Excerpt from remarks to Boston College’s Chief Executives’ Club of Boston

TAKEAWAY: MASSACHUSETTS: NOT BUSINESS-FRIENDLY

Massachusetts, I have not found to be the most friendly state to do business in … At the end of the day, there’s a lot of lawyers here … and I’ve never seen a government that was so full of lawyers.

So, no, I’d say I don’t have a lot of plans to [expand Honeywell in Massachusetts]. I have not found it to be a business-friendly state. I can see Rick Lord and Al McDonald already starting to send me e-mails, saying, here’s what you don’t understand, Dave. But at the end of the day, I’ve had some horrible experiences in Massachusetts so far.

That’s not why I came, to talk about that, but … you hit my New Hampshire candor hot button with that one.
