Hyemin at Adobe's San Jose headquarters
This series highlights BC MBA students’ summer internships, featuring their firsthand accounts of navigating internships across various industries and roles.
This past summer, Hyemin Lee (MBA ’26) interned as an associate technical account manager at Adobe’s headquarters in San Jose, California.
How did you secure your internship?
I applied through LinkedIn in early September, completed one HireVue interview, and then went through two rounds of case presentation interviews, securing an offer in the second week of November 2024.
How did the first year of your MBA prepare you for your internship?
Strategic Management and Digital Marketing classes provided the frameworks I applied in my internship project, as I was working in the Adobe Experience Cloud division to help business clients optimize digital experiences across web, apps, and mobile.
My data analytics and quantitative skills, particularly those learned in the Data Analytics 1: Model Building class, were critical for analyzing customer lists using R to identify high-prospect leads and upsell opportunities during the project. These skills and insights from my MBA enabled me to deliver meaningful results to my team at Adobe.
What did you gain from your internship?
I built a strong professional network within Adobe, gained firsthand experience in how a large global company like Adobe operates across its diverse businesses, and deepened my understanding of SaaS business models and customer success strategies.
