Frequently Asked Questions

Membership

Who is eligible for membership?
We offer corporate memberships only; there are no individual memberships. Each corporate membership allows two C-suite executives to attend our events. The individuals are identified as the “primary” and “secondary” contacts. The primary contact must be the CEO of the company. The secondary contact is identified by the primary contact, and both individuals will receive invitations to each luncheon.

What is the cost of membership?
Annual dues vary, depending on the total number of employees within a company. Please contact the office for further information.

How will I know when my membership needs to be renewed?
Companies are assigned an anniversary date based on the month they join. The primary contact will receive a renewal letter through the mail on the first of the month.

Do members need to be graduates of Boston College?
Absolutely not. While Boston College Chief Executives Club is a program of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, membership is open to all qualifying individuals.

My secondary contact has left the company; how do I go about replacing him/her with someone else?
Once the primary contact has determined a replacement, please contact the office to update the membership.

Do you offer a discount to non-profits?
Yes, we offer a discounted membership rate to non-profits. Please contact the office to determine the rate for your non-profit.

General Event Questions

If our primary and/or secondary contact is unable to attend a given luncheon, can we send an alternate?
All Boston College Chief Executives Club luncheons are by invitation only.

How do I register for events?
You may call the office upon receipt of the mailed invitation, or register online via email invitation.

I did not see my name in your program booklet. Why?
In order to ensure you are listed in the program booklet, please confirm your attendance at least 7 days prior to the event.

Some people are at reserved tables and others are not. How does the seating work?
Many factors are considered in determining who will be offered reserved seating. Board members, company dues level, and status within the Boston business community all factor into the decision making process.

I know someone that is unfamiliar with your Club and would make a great corporate member. Who should I contact?
Please contact the office.

Can I bring a guest to the luncheons?
Occasionally. From time to time, we do allow members to bring prospective members as guests. Requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. Please contact the office to arrange.
