Weddings
The Dane Estate is a premier destantion for your perfect wedding celebration. The elegant rooms of the mansion and its surrounding grounds offer a stately, inviting, and picturesque setting for the celebration you envision.
Moncrief Library
Off the foyer is the elegant Moncrief Library with shelves filled with many books from the Dane family’s library. The room showcases original hand-crafted artistry such as matchbook paneling of Circassian walnut paneling, high Moorish arcading along the ceiling, and period-style furnishings. It is an ideal space for small receptions, cocktail hours, and ceremonies.

Founder's Hall
In the Founder's Hall, a carved double staircase descends to a large room with oak-paneled walls set below a beamed and gilt ceiling, jutting stone casement windows, and teak flooring. Doors open to a gorgeous Founders Lawn. Adding to the grandeur, the room hosts a fireplace and the pipes of an organ (the rest of which was donated in 1956 after a fire devestated Eliot Church in Newton Center).

The Ferry Foyer
The grand entrance to the estate, the Ferry Foyer is perfect for pre-function cocktails and wedding portraits. Guests will admire the massive rustic granite and polished red marble fireplace, dark oak paneling, high ceilings, and carved gilt detail. The original paired French doors lead out onto the adjacent terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds and the pond.
The Ferry Conference Room
The Ferry Conference Room can be used as a dressing room, storage room, or a kids room.
Founder's Lawn
The Founder's lawn is enhanced by spectacular rhododendron hedges. The sweeping lawn is well suited for an outdoor ceremony or a location for a tented reception.

The Dane Estate Site Fees Include:
Historic setting with 45 acres of wooded estate for photography.
Two private dressing rooms.
Five hours of guest time, two hours of set up and one hour of breakdown time.
One hour wedding rehearsal prior to event day at an agreeable time.
Complimentary parking.
Tables and chairs owned by the estate.
All events must conclude by 11:00 p.m.
