Making Reservations

The Cabaret Room is available only through scheduled reservations.

Between September 2, 2008 and May 1, 2009:
Clubs and student organizations must apply for the use of the Cabaret Room through the SPO Space Reservation Request Form. All other departments may reserve the room through the Residential Life Assistant by calling 617-552-4824 or by emailing reslife@bc.edu.  This space gets booked very quickly for the academic year, especially for evening time slots, so planning ahead is recommended.

Between May 2, 2009 and September 7, 2009:
All requests for this space must be made to Summer Housing by emailing summer@bc.edu. Planning for summer operations begins in October. We recommend you read over our Group Summer Housing Guidelines.

After you have been confirmed for your reservation:

  1. You must pick up the keys to the Cabaret Room from the Office of Residential Life between 9 AM and 5 PM, prior to your event. The office of Residential Life is located in 21 Campanella Way, Suite 220. The keys must be returned by 10 AM the next business day. If there are multiple events over a weekend, you may be asked to pass off the keys to the next group using the space. If the keys for this room are lost, your group or department will be charged $300 for all locks to be changed.
  2. You are responsible for ALL set-up and clean-up. We provide no set-up or break-down services for events.  You may hire Bureau of Conferences to do so.
  3. There is basic sound and lighting equipment in the Cabaret Room but we provide no training for use of the equipment. If using a laptop or projector, you must provide your own sound system as most common projectors will not display correctly from the control room located opposite of the projection screen.
  4. Please leave the Cabaret room in the same condition you find it: return all furniture to the storage closet and clean up all garbage (place in garbage bins within the room). Bring extra garbage bags if you think you will produce a lot of waste. There is also a dumpster available between Vanderslice and 110 St. Thomase More Rd.
  5. PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS LOCKED WHEN YOU LEAVE. This includes the kitchen, all closets, and especially outside doors.
  6. Your group will be held responsible for any damages that may occur to the room and/or the equipment as a result of your event. Any repairs, replacements or clean-up that are needed will be charged to your organization.
