Internal applicants and other BC users should login in through agora.bc.edu.
External users should log in at the following page:
Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
This setting needs to be set correctly. Heres how to check:
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
Then navigate to the Security section until you come to the Do not save encrypted pages to disk. Be sure that this checkbox has no check mark in it. The reason for this is that the information from the server that HR Production is on is a secure server. That means that it is encrypted. If you had this check box with a check box in it, it would not allow you to download resumes, etc. See graphic below:

Download: "Automatic prompting for file download"
Download: "File download"
Both of these settings need to be set correctly. Here's how to check: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites. At this point, your page should look like:
Click on the Custom Level button towards the bottom of the box. You will be brought up the Security Settings box that looks like:

Navigate until you arrive at the Downloads section: see graphic below:
Be sure Automatic prompting for file download has the Enable choice selected, that is, with a dot in the center of the circle.
Be sure File download has the Enable choice selected, that is, with a dot in the center of the circle.
Might need to delete the cache.
In some rare experiences, it could be that a new copy of a file is not being presented because the computer continues to return to the cached copy, that is the local (older) copy.
Go to Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete Files

Pop-up blockers
Did the user install any pop-up blocker recently? If so, then it might need to have its settings adjusted so that it will allow resumes (and other associated files) to be handled properly. Heres how to check the pop-up blocker built into Internet Explorer itself.
Go to Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings
The graphic below shows how to allow documents from www7.bc.edu (resumes) to be allowed:

Will need to go to other places for other pop-up blockers. Probably Start > Settings > Control Panel is a good place to start.
After changing any of these settings, be sure to select OK as you back out of the Tools and back to being able to use the browser.
Other, related, notes:
Pop-up blockers: some are built into Service Pack 2; others are independent ones.
Netscape and Mozilla browsers: Word documents do not show (!)
To know what Service Pack has been installed, go to: Start > Settings > Control Panel >System
On the General tab, look for information about Service Pack.
