Peoplesoft HR Job Request
The Job Request feature allows managers to create a job request for a specific employment period. Managers may modify the job description to include specific tasks, duties, skills and abilities, as well as post the job request to the Student Services Website.
|Job Request — Add a New Value|
|Job Request Number||Defaults to zeroes. Do not change.|
|Add||Click the "Add" button to create a new job request.|
|Find an Existing Value||Use this link to view/edit/update a current job request. Click the link to "Find an Existing Value" to search for and then open a job request that has already been created.|
|On-Campus Job Request|
|DeptID||Enter the 6-digit Department ID associated with this job request. If the number is not known, use the magnifying glass to open the Lookup DeptID page to perform a search.|
|Job Title||Click the magnifying glass to open the Lookup Job Title page to perform a search. Select the appropriate job title hyperlink from the Search Results list.
The search results list will include both regular and community service job titles.
|Job Code||Defaults according to Job Title entered.|
|Minimum and Maximum pay rates default according to Job Title entered.|
|Contact||Enter the name of the person who should be contacted with questions relating to this job request. Enter the name in Last,First format (case sensitive) or click the magnifying glass to open the Lookup Contact page to perform a search.
This contact information will be displayed on the Student Services website for positions published on the website.
|Phone||Contact phone number defaults according to Contact name entered.|
|Contact email address defaults according to Contact name entered.|
|Job Descr||The standard Job Description defaults according to Job Title entered. This description may be edited. Clicking the Job Descr icon below will re-insert the defaulted standard Job Description into the field.
The description will be displayed on the Student Services website for positions published on the website.
|Publish in Job List?||Check this box to advertise this position on the Student Services website.
Note: It is important to uncheck this box once the position has been filled so that students will not continue to apply for the position.
|Pub Expire Date||The Publish Expiration Date for the Student Services website job posting defaults to two months after the job begin date. This date may be edited by entering a new date.|
|Defaults to Academic Year. Click the appropriate radio button to select the employment period for this position.
The standard begin and end dates will populate according to the period selected. These dates may be edited within the employment period.

|Informational Only. A Budget Calculator has been provided to calculate budget estimates. This estimate will assist in determining the budget dollars needed to hire students for this request.
|Save||After reviewing information entered, click the "Save" button to save the job request. Once saved, the system will assign a number to the job request. This Job Request Number will be used to reference the job request.|
|Add||Click the "Add" button to create another job request.|
|Update/Display||Click the "Update/Display" button to open the Job Request Find Existing Value page to search for and then open a job request that has already been created.|
