Moratorium Dates

Fri. 2/29/08 Cut-off date for submitting requests for FY08 job reclassifications and market/equity salary increases.  Requests received after 2/29 will be reviewed for the new fiscal year.  Exceptions will be made for the reclassification of vacant positions and the reclassification of new positions.


Distribution and On-Line Merit System 'Go Live' Dates

Mon. 2/18/08 Performance Appraisal instructions and Annual Merit Review Schedule e-mailed by Compensation Office to division heads, deans, directors, department Chairs and administrators.

The University’s standard appraisal form and information on how to conduct and participate in the performance appraisal process can be accessed at the Human Resources web site (www.bc.edu/hr) by clicking on the "Annual Merit Review - Performance Appraisal Form and Instructions" link.

Mon. 3/10/08 Merit Salary Review instructions and schedule e-mailed by Compensation Office to division heads and deans and their administrators for distribution to departments.
Mon. 3/17/08  On-Line Merit System 'Go Live' E-mail notification sent by Compensation Office to all first level approvers.


Approval Deadlines & Processing Dates

Fri. 4/11/08 Deadline for submission of division and school merit worksheets by division heads to Compensation Office.  Performance appraisals due to Compensation Office by division heads and deans.
Fri. 4/25/08

Deadline for submission of merit spreadsheets by Compensation Office to Budget Office.



Communication Dates

Fri. 5/16/08 Query access to data for producing salary letters available to division and school administrators.
Fri. 5/16/08 ECR’s reflecting new pay rates available for print-out from PeopleSoft HR.
Fri. 5/30/08 Salary letters from division heads or deans received by employees.
Fri. 6/13/08 Paychecks of clerical, technical, and hourly Dining Service staff employees reflect new pay rates.
Mon. 6/16/08 Paychecks of professional employees reflect new salaries.
