Downloading and Installing ePO
Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista
ePO (electronic Policy Orchestrator) complements McAfee VirusScan and allows ITS to "push" anti-virus software updates to Windows computers.
Faculty & staff: It is essential to have ePO installed along with VirusScan. Until the ePO updates are applied to the new version, the default settings of VirusScan may interfere with the proper functioning of certain applications such as Thunderbird. Please follow the installation process carefully.
Do you believe VirusScan or ePO will interfere with your computer's operation?
If so, you may apply for exemption from the VirusScan and/or ePO requirement.
- Go to the Software Download site to download ePO to your desktop. When prompted, enter your BC username & password. Save the FramePkg.exe installation file to your desktop.
- Right-click FramePkg.exe on your desktop and select Run as administrator.
- If prompted with a security warning such as "FramePkg is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer" in you browser, click Actions. Select More Options, and then click Run anyway.
- If the User Account Control dialog appears, click Allow.
The installation will now begin.
