Note: It is essential to have ePO installed along with VirusScan 8.5i. Until the ePO updates are applied to the new version, the default settings of VirusScan 8.5i may interfere with the proper functioning of certain applications such as Thunderbird. Please follow the installation process carefully.
If for some reason you believe VirusScan or ePO will interfere with your computer's operation, you may apply for exemption from VirusScan and/or ePO requirement.
Learn how to install ePO using:
Windows Vista
- Download ePO agent to your desktop. When prompted, enter your BC username & password.
- Right-click the ePOAgent icon on your desktop and select Run as administrator (see Figure 1).

- Under the security warning, select Run (see Figure 2).

- If the User Account Control dialog appears, click Allow.
- On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Interactive services (see Figure 3).

- Select Show me the message (see Figure 4).

- Wait for the Setup to complete, select OK, THEN select Return now (see Figure 5).

- Restart your computer.
- Delete the ePO Agent installer icon from your desktop.
Windows XP or 2000
To install ePO using Windows XP or 2000:
- Download ePO agent to your desktop. When prompted, enter your BC username & password.
- Double-click the ePO Agent Installer icon on your desktop (see Figure 6).

- When you see the message "Setup completed successfully," click OK.
- Restart your computer.
- Delete the ePO Agent installer icon from your desktop.
