Connecting to the Internet @ BC

With your computer, mobile device, tablet, or game console

The BC wireless network is available in residence halls, campus buildings, and outdoor areas. All residence hall rooms have an Ethernet network jack as well as most conference rooms, classrooms, and labs.

Faculty, Staff & Students

  • You will need your BC username and password. If you don’t know your username, contact Student Services at (617) 552-3300. If you don’t know your password, you can reset it through Agora Portal at

To connect your computer, mobile device, or tablet, to the Internet at BC:

  1. Wireless: Connect to the "eduroam" wireless network.
    WARNING: "eduroam" and "BostonCollege" are the only official BC wireless networks. Do NOT connect to any other wireless network listed!

    Wired: (a) Disable the wireless connection to ensure you are configuring your computer's wired connection. (b) Using an Ethernet cable, connect your computer to the network wall jack. (c) Mac Ethernet settings: Open System Preferences > Network. From the Configure drop-down list, select "Using DHCP" and in the Search Domains box, type:

  2. Windows: Click on the pop-up in your tool bar that says "Additional information is needed to connect to this network"

  3. Login with:
    2. BC Password (same as used for Agora Portal)
  4. Select “I Agree,” “Continue,” or "Connect" if you receive any certificate messages. 
    • Mac: If prompted, enter your Mac administrative username and password (the password you use to log in to your computer).

  5. If you plan on using both the wireless and wired connection, complete steps 2-4 for each. Be sure to turn off wireless before trying to setup a wired connection .


Visitors must register in order to connect to the BC Network. All visitor access ends after 24 hours. To regain access to the Internet, each day you must repeat the steps below.

  1. Connect to the “BostonCollege” wireless network.
  2. Go to and select “Guest Registration.”
  3. Complete the registration form.
  • You will receive a confirmation email and/or text with your login credentials. You can use these same credentials to connect other devices to the "BostonCollege" network.
