On this page:

Pre-installation

  2. Uninstall any other versions of Microsoft Office, including trial versions, you have installed.
Note: If you need assistance uninstalling other versions of Office, please contact the Help Center at 617-552-HELP (2-HELP from on-campus) or help.center@bc.edu.
  3. Download Microsoft Office 2004 to your desktop. When prompted, enter your BC username & password. Save the MicrosoftOffice2004-Mac.dmg installation file to your desktop. Do not install the application at this time.
    Note:
    • There may be a slight delay before your download starts.
    • Due to the Office 2004 image's large file size, it may take a few minutes to download.
    • To prevent disruptions to the download, we recommend that you use a high-speed, wired connection to the Internet, such as a broadband or DSL connection. Wireless connections are usually less stable and may cause your download to take longer or fail.
  4. Quit any open applications.
