Mac OS X Leopard (v. 10.5) Software Compatibility

  • All applications were tested on a clean installation of Leopard (v. 10.5), not an upgrade from Tiger (v. 10.4).
  • Please note that most vendors are only recently supporting leopard. The version of the software in use on your computer may need to be patched or upgraded in order for it to function correctly on leopard. Please visit the vendor Web site if you have any questions on compatibility.
  • Faculty and staff: If you're interested in upgrading to leopard, please contact your TC or Christine Pise.
  • If you have any software you'd like to have researched, please contact Christine Pise.
  • Results are given for testing done by the industry and/or by Boston College (BC).
  • If you have any test results or issues you'd like to share, please contact Christine Pise.

Warning: Do not use DiskWarrior, TechTool, or other file system repair utilities on Mac OS X leopard systems until the software manufacturer specifically notes leopard support.
