Jesuit Historiography Online

Begun in 2016, the Jesuit Historiography Online is an Open Access resource that will offer more than 70 scholarly essays on a variety of topics and in a variety of disciplines associated with the history of the Society of Jesus. The essays explore trends in Jesuit historiography and provide a nuanced, systematic, and in-depth analysis of what has been written—when, why, and by whom.

Essays are updated and new essays added on a regular basis. Brill Publishers hosts the historiographical essays, and the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies provides the necessary financial support so that the project is available as an Open Access resource. The full contents of the historiography platform are included with the search capacity of the Portal to Jesuit Studies.

With questions or if you wish to collaborate on the Jesuit Historiography Online, please contact the Institute.
