TUESDAY'S HEADLINES
  • A win or a tie on Tuesday would push the Eagles' current undefeated streak to 28 games, matching the program's longest streak (28 games in 2014-15) ... BC enters the game with a program-record 27-game winning streak, the second-longest streak NCAA history
  • Tuesday's game features the nation's top offense (BC, 5.22 goals per game) against the country's sixth-best defense (Harvard, 1.43 goals per game allowed) ... BC's defense is ranked third, surrendering just 1.15 goals per game, while Harvard's offense is ranked No. 17 averaging 2.38 goals per game
  • The Eagles excel on special teams, ranking No. 2 nationally on the power play (28.0 percent) and third on the penalty kill (92.3 percent) 
  • Alex Carpenter (32-29-61) is second in the nation in points and points per game (2.26), while Haley Skarupa is fourth in points (22-29-51) and fifth in points per game (1.89)
  • Megan Keller is the nation's leading scorer among defenseman with 31 points (9-22-31) ... her 10 power-play assists are tied for second among all players nationally while her 14 PP points (4-10-14) are third nationally
  • BC is 13-0-0 away from home this season, averaging 4.92 goals per game while allowing 0.84 with six shutouts in those games
  • BC is 6-0-2 in its last eight games overall played at Walter Brown Arena, including a pair of Beanpot contests (1-0-1) ... the Eagles' last loss at BU's rink was Jan. 25, 2012, a 6-0 loss to the Terriers

BC IN THE BEANPOT
  • Tuesday's first-round games signal the start of the 39th Women's Beanpot Tournament
  • The Eagles have won five Beanpots: 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and most recently 2014 
  • Boston College is 32-37-2 all-time in the Beanpot tournament, which began in 1979 ... as a varsity team (since the 1995 edition), the Eagles are 25-15-2 in the tournament  ... the Eagles played as a club team in the first 16 editions of the annual event before ascending to varsity status in 1994-95
    • vs. Boston University: 18-8-1  ||  14-1-0 since 1994-95
    • vs. Harvard: 8-15-0  ||  6-10-0 since 1994-95
    • vs. Northeastern: 6-14-1  ||  6-4-1 since 1994-95
  • Although BC last won the Beanpot in 2014, only eight members of the current team have won a Beanpot championship: seniors Lexi Bender, Meghan Grieves, Kaliya Johnson, Dana Trivigno and Haley Skarupa, and juniors Andie Anastos, Kristyn Capizzano and Haley McLean
  • In the first round, Boston College is a combined  14-21-1 all-time, and 11-8-1 as a varsity program

EAGLES IN THE BEANPOT
  • Andie Anastos (4 games) and Alex Carpenter (6 games) share the team's active scoring lead in the Beanpot with 5 points each
  • Anastos (2g, 3a) had two goals in the 2015 semifinals against Northeastern and three assists as a freshman in 2014, including a pair of helpers in the championship against the Huskies
  • Carpenter (5 assists) has picked up at least one assist in each of her three seasons, including three as a freshman in 2012, one as a sophomore in 2013 and one as a junior in 2015
  • Haley Skarupa has scored four goals in six Beanpot games, including two goals in 2015 ... one of her goals came in the championship against Harvard
  • Dana Trivigno has suited up for five Beanpot games, scoring three points (2g, 1a) ... she missed the 2014 championship will an illness
  • Lexi Bender has a pair of assists in six appearances, while Kenzie Kent and Tori Sullivan each have one assist in two games.
  • Katie Burt is 1-1-0 in Beanpot action with a 2.01 GAA and a .886 save percentage

BC AGAINST HARVARD
  • This is the second of two scheduled meetings this season ... on Jan. 19, BC earned a 2-0 win at Harvard - the team's first road win at Harvard since 2006
  • BC and Harvard have met 37 times in varsity play since the Eagles elevated to Division 1 status in the 1994-95 season
  • The Eagles trail the all-time series, 11-25-1 ... at home, BC is 6-8-0 against Harvard, and 2-14-1 on the road at the Bright-Landry Center ... the teams are 3-3-0 on neutral ice
  • The teams met three times in 2014-15, with the Crimson handing BC two of its three losses on the season (Beanpot Championship and NCAA semifinals)
  • BC's first win in the series came in the teams' fifth game on Nov. 24, 1996 (7-2 at home), but the Crimson won the next 17 games from Feb. 23, 1997 through Feb. 15, 2005
  • Harvard's 17-2 win at Kelley Rink on Jan. 28, 2003 set several NCAA records: most goals by a team in a game (17), most combined goals by two teams in a game (19) and largest margin of victory (15 goals)
  • The Eagles' other 10 wins have all come in the last 15 meetings, during which BC has gone 10-4-1 against Harvard since Feb. 14, 2006
  • The teams have met 16 times in the Beanpot since BC became a varsity program, with Harvard holding a 10-6-0 edge in those games, including a 5-3-0 mark in championship contests
  • Katie Crowley is 8-3-1 all-time against Harvard, including two Beanpot Championships in three chances

EAGLES VS. THE CRIMSON
  • Alex Carpenter leads all current Eagles against Harvard with 9 points (3-6-9) in seven games ... she posted a 6-point effort last November with 2g, 4a in BC's 10-2 win
  • Haley Skarupa has 8 points (4-4-8) in six games against Harvard ... she also had a 6-point effort last November with 2 goals and 4 assist
  • Tori Sullivan has six assists - including a pair in the Eagles' 2-0 win on Jan. 19 - in four games against the Crimson
  • Kenzie Kent (2g, 2a) has posted four points in four games against the Crimson 
  • Dana Trivigno (three goals) and Meghan Grieves (two goals, one assist) each has scored 3 points against Harvard, while Andie Anastos has 2 points (1g, 1a) in four games
  • Kali Flanagan has one goal against Harvard, while Lexi Bender and Toni Ann Miano each have one assist
  • Kelli Stack '11 is tied with Carpenter for the program scoring lead against Harvard as she scored a program-best 6 goals and added three assists vs. the Crimson
  • Katie Burt is 2-2-0 against Harvard in four starts, posting a 1.76 GAA with a .921 save percentage and one shutout

REGULAR-SEASON NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
Since 2012-13, Boston College has compiled a 28-7-4 regular-season record in non-conference match-ups ... so far this season, BC is 8-0-0 vs. non-league opponents, including a 2-0 win over Harvard - Tuesday's opponent ... in 2014-15, BC went 9-1-1 during the regular season against non-Hockey East opponents, with the lone loss coming to No. 4 Harvard in the Beanpot championship ... in 2013-14, the Eagles were 7-3-2 against non-HEA foes, after an 8-3-1 mark in 2012-13. 

STOPPERS & SHUTOUTS
This season, Boston College has recorded 10 shutouts ... Katie Burt has nine in 22 starts, while Gabri Switaj has one in five starts ... BC's program record is 12 shutouts in 2014-15, while the team posted 11 in 2008-09 ... Burt's nine shutouts are already the second-highest season total in program history, behind the 10 recorded by both Burt last season and Molly Schaus '11 in 2008-09. 

ROAD WARRIORS
Boston College is a perfect 13-0-0 away from home this season, winning away contests at No. 9 Cornell (twice), UConn, Boston University (twice), New Hampshire, No. 4 Northeastern, Maine (twice), Syracuse, Merrimack (twice) and Harvard ... in BC's 13 road games, the Eagles have out-scored their hosts 64-11 and have posted six of the team's nine shutouts (Cornell, UConn, UNH, Maine, Merrimack, Harvard) ... BC's last road loss was a 3-2 defeat at No. 4 Harvard in the championship game of the 2015 Beanpot ... BC is 26-1-2 in away games since the start of the 2014-15 season. 

FACEOFF MASTERS
Boston College is one of the top faceoff teams in the country as evidenced by its three regular centers among the nation's top 10 in faceoff winning percentage (of those who have taken 150 or more faceoffs) ... Alex Carpenter leads the nation in faceoff winning percentage at .701, winning 392 of her 559 attempts ... her 392 wins are 74 more than the next closest players ... Andie Anastos has won 204 of her 335 faceoffs for a .609 percentage, ranking eighth nationally ... Dana Trivigno has won 238 of her 393 attempts (.606) to rank 10th among regular drawers. 

RECORD-BREAKING SEASON ON TAP FOR KELLER?
Megan Keller's 31-point campaign so far this season marks the third-highest scoring output in a season by a BC defenseman in program history ... Emily Pfalzer '15 posted 42 points in 2014-15 for the most in a season, while Genevieve Missirlian had a 32-point season in 1997-98 for the second-most points in a year ... Keller is averaging 1.15 points per game and with at last nine games left this season, she has a chance to match - or pass - Pfalzer's single-season mark.
