Tenure Track or Tenured Professors in Economics

The Department of Economics at Boston College invites applications for four tenure-track positions beginning in Fall 2023. One position is in macroeconomics and is open in rank.

The remaining three positions, two open-rank and one for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, are in labor economics, industrial organization, and applied microeconomics. For the open-rank positions, we are especially interested in candidates who can provide intellectual leadership in labor, IO, and related fields across applied microeconomics. Candidates will be considered individually or as part of a cluster hire in applied micro.

All candidates will teach in the undergraduate and Ph.D. programs in Economics, and should be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality. Assistant/Associate Professor of the Practice in Economics

The Department of Economics of Boston College is seeking candidates for a full-time non-tenure track position in economics in any field beginning in Fall 2023. This is an exceptional position, with highly competitive salary, benefits, and teaching load. This is a renewable long-term position, beginning with a 3-year contract. Completed PhD and a record of exceptional undergraduate teaching are required.

Successful candidates will be expected to play a full role in the undergraduate program including active supervision of senior theses and undergraduate advisement, and will teach a large lecture of Principles or Statistics. Applicants should be committed to teaching of the highest quality. Desirable fields are principles of economics, intermediate micro and macro, statistics and econometrics, and electives of the candidate’s choice.
