Begun in the nineteenth century, the McMullen Museum's permanent collection spans the history of art from Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Paintings from the collection are on display on the first floor of 2101 Commonwealth Avenue, open on Sundays when the Museum is open, noon until 5:00 pm. This floor is also accessible other days; please ask at the front desk.
The virtual gallery below presents some highlights of the collection, including nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American paintings, Italian Renaissance paintings, Flemish tapestries, and works by John La Farge.
Scholars interested in specific items in the collection may arrange for viewings by contacting the Museum.
