office of advancement
The Boston College Law School Alumni Association was formed to further the ideals and tradition of the Law School through the education and involvement of alumni in the BC Law community. In addition, the Association strives to promote the tradition of service to others through the involvement of alumni, students, and faculty in pro bono service programs.
The Alumni Board includes a diverse and dynamic group of alumni from across the country. Board members serve two-year terms and are chosen for their experience and talent in specific core duties. They manage the basic functions of alumni relations in partnership with the Law School, lead the effort in one of the functional or structural areas of the board, identify and recruit members to the committees they head, and establish goals and a plan to achieve them. The 10 non-officer members of the Board are: Chapters, Alumni Programs, Communications, Student Programs, Admissions, Annual Giving, Career Services, Advocacy Programs, Reunion and Classes, and Affinity Groups.
Board members are elected by the Assembly, which consists of anyone who has volunteered for the Law School in the past year. The Assembly meets once a year over Reunion weekend to discuss their work, developments at the Law School, and to vote on new Board members (view Assembly Notices at right). For more information on becoming part of the Alumni Board, contact Christine Kelly '97, Director of Alumni Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org or 617 552-4378.
