“The LL.M. program offers its students a wide range of courses in all areas of the law, and a very interesting mix between the international LL.M. students and J.D. students in the same classrooms. In addition, the law school offers a roster of very capable and specialized law professors. For all these reasons, BC Law qualifies as one of the best options for international students who are looking for one of the most enriching experiences in their lives.”
Sergio Rodríguez works as an In-House Counsel at Vector Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., one of the leading financial institutions in Mexico, specializing in securities exchanges and contracts. He is also an associate of a well known Monterrey law firm, where he specializes in general corporate practice. Before coming to BC Law, he spent over four years as Legal Counsel to the Ministry of Finance of the State of Nuevo León, where he was responsible for complex financing transactions, a variety of agreements involving state assets, and a range of litigation and other work. His earlier experience also includes private practice, initially with a notarial firm and thereafter as one of two name partners of a small Monterrey-area firm. Finally, he is active in local politics, having served as Chairman of the Municipal Committee of Internal Processes of the Political Council for the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI).
Sergio’s BC Law coursework focused on commercial, corporate and financial law. Meanwhile, he managed to find time to enjoy the city, and for some of his other passions: his wife, fellow LL.M. student Ana de la Paz, and sports (particularly tennis and soccer).
