Leadership Lunch with Vetto Casado

A little about the organization: The mission of SCBB is to offer a "simple solution to a complex problem." As a model for giving, SCBB provides an online platform for people to do what they always do best in a crisis: help one another. By harnessing the power of small, direct donations, and its online community of donors can make a big difference for families currently living on the edge.  During his tenure as Director, Vetto has led the organization to new heights. He will continue to oversee the next evolutionary phase at the organization, aiming at serving more families throughout the Commonwealth, creating stronger bridges between community donors, partner agencies, and recipients. The ultimate goal eventually, is to cement Small Can Be Big's status as Boston's premier flexible funder.

More about Vetto: Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Vetto immigrated to the United States at the age of six and grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Growing up in the inner-city sparked an intense desire within Vetto to empower his community and help others in the fight for social change. Vetto is a direct representative of the populations and demographics currently served at Small Can Be Big and has a deeply rooted connection to the obstacles and challenges that Boston-area families and their  communities are currently facing.

Vetto has a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston. In 2012, Vetto was selected to the Latino Leadership Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and in 2016, was a graduate of the Institute for Non-Profit Practice at Tufts University‚Äôs Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service. He enjoys traveling, cooking, learning about different cultures, and inspiring others to lead.
