Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a relatively new method of overlaying data onto locations to better understand information. This is an invaluable skill for social workers for identifying communities in need, and how provide more precise interventions. The Macro SIL in partnership with CYF will be holding a training on the software led by Professor Samantha Texeira and the Social Work Library Staff in O'Neill 307.
