The Shea Center is committed to nurturing an innovative and entrepreneurial community on campus. Students and alumni are invited to take part in a broad array of activities and events throughout the year.
Events and other programs will be aimed at educating students on the nature of entrepreneurship. Events will include workshops that help students build their entrepreneurial skills, moving them from idea through refinement and venture launch, as well as informing audiences on what working for a startup entails.
OTHER SHEA CENTER EVENTS INCLUDE:
- Master Speaker Series
- Toolkit workshops for students to learn from entrepreneurial experts and mentors. Topics will include legal matters; funding; launching Minimum Viable Products; product/market fit; accelerating revenue; and possible exit strategies for startup funding
- Entrepreneur office hours, for advising and mentoring
- Hackathons during which students collaborate intensively on software projects
