Technology in the 21st Century
H. Ross Perot unleashed some plain-spoken Texas wisdom on child-raising, slammed the Clinton administration's failure to act on Gulf War syndrome and lavished praise on President Bush before a standing room only audience of Boston's top executives at the Chief Executives' Club of Boston luncheon today.
Perot peppered his forty-five minute talk with advice for executives and predictions for the future, often followed by one of his two favorite phrases: "It's going to happen, like or not," and "It's not going to be pretty." Focusing on leadership and exhorting the listeners to develop leaders within their own organizations, Perot said, "I'm not talking about managers," "you manage inventory- you lead people."
Stories ran in the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald on January 24, 2001.
