Elvis Henriquez | Aspiring Principal Resident, Warren/Prescott K-8 School
After graduating from high school, Elvis Henriquez attended Boston College where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2000. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies at Boston College he began his teaching career at the English High School in Boston, MA. At English High School Elvis worked for three years as a bilingual mathematics teacher.
In 2003, he transitioned to the Josiah Quincy Upper School in Boston, MA where he worked as a math teacher for grades 8-12. Teaching at a school that educates, both middle and high school, students provided a unique opportunity to see students develop and transition. Elvis taught at the Josiah Quincy Upper School until 2011 where he also served as member of the data and students success team.
Elvis received a Master’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Boston College in 2011. A year after finishing his graduate studies at Boston College he returned to English high school where he has been teaching math for the past three years. During this time, Elvis has been teaching both regular mathematics and also Sheltered English Immersion mathematics to students who are new to the country.
