Tenured Associate Professor, Management & Organization Department
The Management and Organization Department at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management is seeking applicants for a tenured position at the Associate level in organizational behavior/organizational theory beginning September, 2018. In exceptional cases, a different level appointment may be considered.
Candidates must have completed a PhD in organizational behavior, organizational theory, or a related field. We seek candidates with a research specialization that focuses on the individual, group, organizational, inter-organizational, or field level of analysis. Experience and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods is desirable. We want candidates who have a strong record of publications in top scholarly journals and have shown excellence in teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate level.
The Management and Organization Department combines the fields of organizational behavior, organizational theory, and strategy. Its members comprise a vibrant intellectual community that currently includes 19 full-time faculty members: Jean Bartunek, Curtis Chan, Judith Clair, Lyndon Garrett, Simona Giorgi, Mary Ann Glynn, Judith Gordon, Suntae Kim, Sean Martin, Juan Montes, Richard Nielsen, Michael Pratt, Beth Schinoff, Metin Sengul, Richard Spinello, Mohan Subramaniam, Mary Tripsas, Jack Welch, and Tieying Yu. The department offers a PhD program as well as MBA and undergraduate concentrations and is affiliated with several independent centers at Boston College, including the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Center for Corporate Citizenship, the Center for Work and Family, and the Sloan Center on Work & Aging.
