About Weston Observatory

Weston Observatory is a geophysical research and science education center of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Boston College. We are located in Weston, Massachusetts about ten miles west of BC's Chestnut Hill campus. The Observatory, which has been recording earthquakes since the 1930s, conducts research on earthquakes.


Please schedule ahead for Observatory tours. Call 617-552-8311 to reserve your guided tour.

Tours offered M-W-F.  First Tour 10:30 am, Last Tour 3:00 pm.
Please allow two hours for full tour. Handicapped accessible.
