Prof. Sunjiv Soyjaudah New TEC Director The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) has appointed Sunjiv Soyjaudah, Professor of the University of Mauritius (UoM), as the new director. However, it is Education Minister Leela Devi Dookun who will have to give the final approval to confirm the appointment of a lecturer at the head of the regulatory body for higher education. Two India-Linked Higher Education Institutions to Close Two private higher education institutions in Mauritius, both with Indian links, are to close. The Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (Mauritius Branch Campus), or EIILM, will shut in December 2015 and the Amity Institute of Higher Education in June 2016, according to press reports.
