Changing Age Demographics: Business Imperative or HR Distraction?

10 October 2009—In 2005, the writing was on the wall–labor force experts were predicting substantial growth in the workforce over the age of 50.  Headlines like “Battle of the Generations” and “Baby Boomers Forever Young” dominated the mainstream media.  In the meantime, the U.S. economy experienced an unprecedented decline and businesses across the country focused on survival. Suddenly it seems as if the looming retirement tsunami had become a ripple in the water.

What do you think?  What are you doing in your organization to ensure that this issue remains a business priority?

Please join us for what promises to be a provocative and highly interactive online presentation Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:30 PM ET.

Center Researcher, Steve Sweet, Ph.D. will share the newest data from the Center’s Talent Management study - a survey of over 800 employers, representative of small, medium, and large businesses in a variety of industries.

Registration is open, but will be limited to ensure ample opportunity for discussion and participation. All attendees will be asked to complete a very brief pre-session pulse survey to help spark our dialogue.  In addition, the session will be recorded and a summary of the discussion will be published in the next Workplace Edition of STAGES.
