7 out of 10 Workers Aged 45+ Are Not Postponing Plans to Retire—up 10% from 2009

Among workers aged 45+ who had not yet retired, only 12% indicated that they had postponed plans to retire in 2013. Comparing the current survey results to data from 2009, "more respondents said they had not postponed their plans to retire (67% in 2013 vs 56% in 2009)," according to a 2013 AARP survey.
