Take Back The Night
Held annually during Concerned About Rape Education Week, Take Back the Night is the centerpiece of the week committed to raising awareness about rape and sexual assault.
Take Back the Night creates a community of support for survivors who speak at the event as well as for those in the audience who have personally experienced, or know someone who has experienced, sexual violence.
After the survivors speak, everyone in the audience is handed a glowstick and encouraged to light up and take back spaces on campus where they ever felt unsafe as their own. The event will be closed with a solidarity walk around campus.
Take Back The Night 2017 will be Wednesday, March 29 at 6pm in O'Neill Plaza.
