Caitríona Taylor
Director, Campus Recreation

Caitríona rejoined the Campus Recreation team in December of 2011 as the Director of Campus Recreation.  She provides leadership over a comprehensive recreation and wellness program for a student, faculty and staff population of over 20,000 people.  Caitríona also served in different roles at Boston College from 2004 to 2009.  She was Manager of the following areas: Aquatics, Instructional Programs, and Varsity Camps/Clinics.

Caitríona served as President of Kulae (an eco-friendly yoga equipment company) from 2009 to 2011.  She was the Associate Aquatic Director at MIT from 2002 to 2004, and part of the team that opened the $76 million MIT Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center.

In 2002, Caitríona received a Bachelors of Arts from Boston University in International Relations and Public Relations.  She was a student employee in the Physical Educational, Recreation, and Dance department, working as a lifeguard, swim instructor and promotions assistant.  She continued her education while working at Boston College, receiving a Masters in Business Administration (Global Management) from the Boston College Carroll School of Management in 2008.

Club Sports & Recreational Camp Coordinator

Emily joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Coordinator of Club Sports and Recreational Camp in July 2017. Previously, she served as the Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports at Campus Recreation while working towards her Master’s Degree in Higher Education.

In 2015, Emily earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College. During her time as an undergraduate student, Emily was very involved in Campus Recreation. She worked for Intramurals as an official and supervisor. She also served as the President of the Intramural Athletic Board.

Ling Beisecker
Faculty/Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator

Ling joined Boston College in October 2018 as the Faculty/Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator. She organizes fitness and wellness programs with Human Resources for faculty and staff. She is the connector between Human Resources and Campus Recreation. Alongside this new role, Ling continues her private practice in mental health counseling. Previously, Ling has been involved in campus recreation and student activities as a graduate assistant and student employee.

Ling received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Sciences and Psychology from The College of William and Mary and her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also studied yoga in Rishikesh, India. 

Ling lives in Fenway with Alexander (her soon-to-be husband) and their fur baby, Ernie.

Rebecca Cegledy
Associate Director, Facilities and Operations

Rebecca joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Associate Director of Facilities and Operations in September 2014. She oversees the operation of all campus recreation facilities, scheduling, and the membership area.

Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology in 2003 and her Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Management in 2005 from the Ohio State University. She is currently working on her MBA here at BC. Prior to joining the recreation staff here at Boston College, Rebecca worked as the Assistant Director of Member Services and Creative Services in the Campus Recreation Department at the University of Maryland from November 2009-September 2014. Before that she worked in the Recreational Sports Department at the Ohio State University as a Facility Coordinator from July 2005 to October 2009 and as a Facilities Graduate Administrative Associate from June 2003-July 2005, where she was part of the team who opened the $140 million Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) and taught classes through the PAES department. She also worked in high school athletics and with Special Olympics Ohio.

Emily Charnowski
Assistant Director, Club Sports & Recreational Camp

Emily joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Assistant Director, Club Sports and Recreational Camp in August 2013. She currently oversees all aspects of the Club Sports Program and Summer Recreational Day Camp. Previously, she served as the Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports at BC Rec.

A 2012 graduate of Boston College, Emily earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Theology with a minor in General Education. During her time as an undergrad, Emily was very involved in athletics. She was a captain and four year member of the varsity rowing team as well as an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council. She also worked for Intramurals for 3 years as an official and program assistant. She then continued her education while working at BC, receiving a Master’s degree in Higher Education in 2015.

Sandy Corsi
Member Sales & Services Manager

Sandy has been a member of the Boston College Campus Recreation staff since September 1997. She originally joined the staff on a part-time basis as the Co-Membership & Facility Coordinator in the Member Services Office. In 1999, Sandy became a full-time member of the staff and was later promoted to Manager, Member Sales & Services. She is responsible for overseeing all sales and services in the Member Services Office and Equipment Desk as well as managing their respective staffs. Sandy also manages the recconnect website using Fusion.

Assistant Director, Outdoor Adventures

Eli joined Boston College in September 2012 as the Coordinator of the Outdoor Adventure Program. Having been involved in outdoor programming for more than a decade he is excited to be a part of the BC Rec team. He loves to help students have fun and be safe in the outdoors.

Before coming to Boston College, Eli worked with some of the premier organizations in the outdoor industry like the American Canoe Association and Outward Bound. He also has been part of elite college outdoor programs and worked in the private guiding industry.

Eli lives with his wife in Millbury.

Hilary De Vries
Assistant Director, Fitness & Wellness

Hilary joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness in June 2012. She oversees the operation of the Group Fitness Program, Personal Training Program, Small Group Fitness Program, and Wellness Program in collaboration with other campus departments.

Prior to joining the recreation staff Hilary worked in higher education at Southern Connecticut State University and Loyola University Chicago. Before entering the field of higher education she worked as a Copy Editor for Modern Healthcare magazine.

Hilary received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Loyola University Chicago and her Master of Science in Exercise Science – Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University. She recently completed a second graduate degree earning her Master of Arts in Higher Education - Administration from Boston College.

Becca Fink
Marketing & Communications Manager

Becca joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Marketing & Communications Manager in January 2015. She leads the communications efforts of campus recreation as a whole and its individual program areas. She is responsible for increasing visibility and building awareness of programs and events by maintaining facility signage, managing the website and social media accounts, developing print materials, and more.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Philosophy from CUNY Brooklyn College and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at Boston College. Before joining Campus Recreation, Becca worked as a Communications & Marketing Specialist for the Georgia Health Policy Center at Georgia State University. Prior to working in health communications, she worked as an investigative reporter and editorial assistant in New York City.

Terry Gilman
Recreational Facilities Manager

Terry was promoted to Assistant Manager, Recreation Facilities in April of 2007. Terry joined the Campus Recreation staff in September of 1996 as a part-time Supervisor. In his current position, Terry assists with the safety, security, and maintenance of the facility. He also is the Flynn Complex racquetball instructor.

Prior to coming to Boston College, Terry worked in the health & fitness industry for over fifteen years. Terry was the General Manager of the Ferncroft Club in Danvers, MA from 1995 to 1996. From 1982 to 1994, Terry held several positions at the Babson Recreation Center in Wellesley, MA including those of Front Desk Manager, Membership Sales Manager, and Racquetball Director.

A graduate of Boston College, Terry earned a BA in English in 2001 and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the Lynch School of Education in 2003.

Terry resides in Needham, MA with his wife and two children.

Marianne Kristiansen
Graduate Assistant, Fitness

Marianne joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Student Wellness Coordinator in November 2018 and then began as the Graduate Assistant for Fitness in January 2019. 

Marianne grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where she spent a lot of her time outdoors and playing various sports. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and another in Social Work with honors from Saint Anselm College, where she played varsity ice hockey. During her time as an undergraduate, she was also a student worker for Intramurals where her main focus was officiating. Marianne is currently pursing a Master of Social Work degree at Boston College with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families.

Andrew Lutz
Assistant Director, Intramurals & Instructional Programs

Andrew joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Assistant Director of Intramural and Instructional Programming in May 2016. He currently oversees all aspects of the Intramural Sport & Instructional Programs. Previously, he worked at San Diego State University as the Intramural Sport & Sport Club Supervisor. 

Andrew received his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education & English and his Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, both from Boston College. While pursuing his Master's, he worked as the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals in BC's Campus Recreation. Andrew is an active member of NIRSA.

Carole Melo
Business Manager

Carole joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Business Manager in May 2016. She is responsible for the financial management of all revenues and expenses. 

Carole began working at Boston College in 2007 in the Procurement Department. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership and Administration, both at Boston College.

Petey Peterson
Fitness Coordinator

Petey joined the Campus Recreation staff in July 2018 as the Fitness Coordinator. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Sports Administration at Boston College. 

Petey has more than eight years of experience in the fitness industry. During her time at the University of Georgia, she worked as a group fitness instructor and personal training manager for their Campus Recreation program. She started teaching group fitness in 2013 with LesMills BODYPUMP and has since gained group fitness teaching experience in a variety of formats. Petey is a certified personal trainer and has competitive experience in both soccer and boxing. She enjoys bringing all of her experiences together to create an active culture of community engagement and dedication to fitness and wellness.

Jonathan Sanders
Graduate Assistant, Intramurals

Jonathan joined the Campus Recreation staff in August 2017 as the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals. He recently graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While at South Carolina, he served in several roles throughout Campus Recreation, with a central focus in officiating. He officiated various levels of basketball, along with other sports, extending beyond the university program. Jonathan is currently working toward his Master’s in Sports Administration at Boston College.

Leonardo Torres
Assistant Director, Aquatics

Leonardo joined the Campus Recreation staff in February 2007 as the Lead Facility Supervisor and now serves as the Assistant Director of Aquatics.

He was born in Managua, Nicaragua and in the mid 80's he moved to the US. He currently resides in Brookline, MA.

Leonardo has over 30 years of experience in the aquatic industry. He worked at MIT as a Recreation Leader in Aquatics, the Town of Brookline as a Recreation Leader, and in Miami at Miami Beach Patrol as a Lifeguard. He is a certified Lifeguard, CPR, AED, Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor and Water Aerobics Instructor.

Kenneth Turbush
Associate Director, Programming and Student Development

Kenny joined the Campus Recreation staff as the Associate Director for Programming and Student Development in January 2012. He oversees the operation of the Outdoor Adventures Program, Aquatics Program, Intramurals Program, Club Sports Program and the Fitness and Wellness Program.

Before joining the recreation staff Kenny served as the Camps Clinics and Facility Administrator for the Boston College Athletic Department from July 2007-January 2012.

Kenny received his Bachelors degree in Sports Management from Flager College and his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005 and served as the Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs, Intramurals and Facilities in the Campus Recreation Department. Prior to his arrival at Boston College he was the Facility Administrator for the Arizona State University Student Recreation Complex. Kenny is an active member of NIRSA.

Brian Walsh
Recreational Facilities Manager

Brian joined the Campus Recreation staff in July 2012 as Manager of Recreational Facilities. In his position, Brian is responsible for the safety, maintenance, and security of all campus recreation facilities. He also manages the student staff working at the Control Desk and the Quonset Hut.

Brian graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a degree in History and Philosophy and worked for three years as an undergrad at the Plex in member services and as a facility supervisor.

Fiscal Assistant

Judy joined the part-time staff of Campus Recreation in 2001 as the Co-Membership and Facilities Coordinator. Prior to that, Judy worked as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm.

She became a full-time Membership Assistant and was later promoted to Campus Rec Fiscal Assistant. Judy supports Campus Recreation in many areas, including tours of the facility for new employees of Boston College.

Judy resides in Waltham with her husband, Richard and two sons, Cameron and Adam.
